I have the same problem, is there any solution?
If you’re using Contact Form 7 and change the default fields from [your-name], [your-email] and [your-subject] to something like [name], [email], [subject] you can get Flamingo to recognize this new form field naming convention by setting these additional settings at the base of your form editor in the ‘Additional Settings’:
flamingo_email: “[email]”
flamingo_name: “[name]”
flamingo_subject: “[subject]”
Thanks nightbook! Email and name work correctly, but the subject is still showing up as [subject] in Flamingo. I would think it’s related to not using a field with the name “subject” in the form. I have my subject hard coded into the subject field.
Hi @videogold, if you’re not using the [subject] field within your email you’ll want to change it to use whatever you have for subject or just use a Text field to indicate what kind of message it is for example;
flamingo_subject: “Contact Form Submission”
Hope that’s helpful,
Cheers
Great that was just what I was looking for

Having the same issue. As we use many forms without a customer filling in [your-subject] the Flamingo database is full of [your-subject] messages.
@nightbook: Where does “flamingo_subject: “Contact Form Submission”” go to make it work. I pasted it into the email but it didn’t change anything in Flamingo
Appreciate your help to fix this. Thanks

Figured it out. It needs to go in the “additional settings” field. Thanks
Thank you @nightbook . It looks work well now.
