I’m not sure. I’m not familiar with this particular problem with the WooCommerce filters: the problem I know better is when the filters don’t appear when Relevanssi is enabled. It may still be related. In any case, the underlying problem is likely the same: the WooCommerce filters don’t use Relevanssi to figure out which posts are present in the results, but instead the default WP search. This means the filters have a different idea of the posts present than what the actual results are.
Unfortunately, if it’s this problem, then there’s no fix. The filters are hard-coded that way, and cannot be changed.
I tried FiboSearch and Ivory Search and they work normally as expected.
This is very unfortunate because Relevanssi yields the fastest search by far.
They are different products, and FiboSearch in particular is pretty much built for WooCommerce use. Relevanssi isn’t. WooCommerce is a tough, complex beast to support, and it’s not my first priority, as I don’t otherwise work with WooCommerce at all.
I can look into this, but I need more information. What filters exactly are you talking about? There are lots of different filter widgets in WooCommerce. Which exact widget are you talking about, and how is it set up?
I am using widgets from Product Filters plugin by XforWooCommerce. I initially thought the source of the problem was the filter plugin but when I disabled Relevanssi, the filter cooperated with the theme normally.
Ah, in that case, I cannot help, because I don’t have any access to premium plugins. Depending on how the filter plugin is built, this may or may not be easy to fix, but I have no idea and no way to tell. I’d need to see the source code to be able to help out here.
I would recommend you contact the XforWooCommerce support and tell them that the filters are not working with Relevanssi and that you would like them to work. I can help the plugin developers to make the plugin compatible with Relevanssi, but only if they want to do so.
May I send you the installation ZIP file for analysis?
I won’t answer that question in order to avoid breaking forum rules; what you’re suggesting may well be against several forum guidelines, and I do not want my account to be suspended here.
Understood. Thank you very much for your sincere support. I will take your suggestion and reach out to the plugin author for possible assistance to this issue.
