   be updated. This is the first time I am experiencing this since i started using
   wordpress. Whenever i click on update for each plugin i get an error message ”
   Update failed: Connection lost or the server is busy. Please try again later.”
   i have tried severally and I keep getting the same message Meanwhile more and
   more plugins need to be updated. I will appreciate it if I can get a feedback

 * Check under Tools > Site Health to see if any issues are listed there.
 * Try deactivating all plugins just to test. Does it work then? If so, one of the
   plugins was the problem.

 * Thank you for your response. 2 issues are listed under sitehealth 1) you have
   plugins waiting to be updated and 2) you have themes waiting to be updated. I
   delibrately did not update my theme because when i tried updating it in the past
   it distorted the frontend so terribly that i had to restore back to the old version
   and still have to repair from the backend to restore the frontend to it’s original
   state

 * [@joey25zz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/joey25zz/) Your other duplicate
   topic was removed. Please keep your topic here, you have a general problem and
   not a specific plugin one.

 * Hi [@joey25zz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/joey25zz/),
 * Hope you are using the latest version of WordPress (7.0.3). Please share the
   following information; it will help us track the issue.
    - Which theme are you using?
    - Have you enabled WordPress Debug Mode? If so, is it showing any errors?
    - Is there any difference in the results when all plugins are inactive? Take
      a **_full site backup_** (mandatory), deactivate all your plugins, and try
      to update your theme.
    - Are you using any security plugins?

   I equally reached out to the hosting platform and I am sure that the issue is
   from their end. I just saw a response that they have updated the plugins. When
   I logged into the backend , I saw that the plugins are updated but I now have
   2 other plugins that need to be updated and I am still having the same issue.
   I have reached out to them again.

 * [@mbigul](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mbigul/) , thank you for yur response.
   I am yet to hear from them. As per [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/site-no-longer-detects-updates/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/site-no-longer-detects-updates/)
   I do not think that that is my case. I get notification of plugins that need
   udating and when I log in at the backend , i see all the plugins that are due
   for update. But when I click on the update button I get the error message mentioned
   earlier.
