    Hi,
    Cool plugin!

Am I missing something, or is it not yet possible to enter a refernce within the text (e.g. “this is what someone said (Smith 2011, 1)”) of a blog that then auto-generates a bibliography – in the same way that zotero works in word etc.?

    Cheers
    A

  • Oh yes! That’s also what I’m searching for desperately. Having such a function would increase many scientific blogs!

Yes. This would be fantastic. I could then cut and paste post entries to create new poste entries with an autogenerated new bibliography. Cool!

I completely agree. Here’s the design challenge: There’s TONS of different content editors out there, and not everyone uses WordPress’s default one. I’d love to have this feature myself … I’m going to keep exploring and see what I can do.

I’ve released a very preliminary version of a shortcode that lets you make in-text citations: see version 4.3. Feedback and ideas welcome.

    Hey
Just checked out your in-text citation – this is GOOOD!

I appreciate the issue of lots of text editors – but the special thing about being able to do this kind of stuff in wordpress is that you can integrate it with semantic type writing/tagging and still keep refs etc where you want them! And all of this online! This is great for writing papers/articles etc!

All we need now is the option for various ref and bibliographic formats:)

    Keep up the good work

Thanks! Any particular reference styles you’d like to see? Unfortunately I have to do the styling manually. (Well, as far as I’ve figured so far.)
