Support » Theme: Himalayas » In Safari browser, changing home slider height causes page to jump

  • In the Safari browser, the changing home slider height (when each image is a different height) causes the whole page to jump when you scroll down. So, for example, filling out the contact form is difficult, as it keeps moving up and down. This does not happen in Chrome or Firefox, not sure about Explorer.

How can this issue be dealt with for those using Safari?

    Thanks for any help!

  • Hi,

We will discuss with our team regarding this problem and will reach you soon.
For now, can you use equal size images in slider and see if it resolves the issue?

    Thanks.

Thanks for looking into this. I did as you suggested, and it did stop the page from jumping. Btw, the person seeing the problem also sees it on Chrome, and is on a Mac machine. I do not see any jumping in Chrome on a Windows machine.

    Hi,

Glad to know it worked. We will definitely look into this issue.

    Thanks.

Any progress on this? It sucks having to make all the pics in the slider the exact same height.

    Hi,

We do not have any ETA for its fix. So, thank you for your patience and understanding onto it. So, for now, maybe you can use same width and height image for slider until the issue is resolved?

    Thanks.

I am also using safari browser but I would suggest you to use Goolge chrome you won’t face any problem like this in Chrome.
