Support » Plugin: Order Splitter for WooCommerce » in/out of stock split bug

If I have 5 of a product in stock and I order 7 of them I would like the split to have 5 on one order (in-stock items) and 2 on backorder order (out of stock items).

Currently, they will all go on the backorder order and say backordered:7 even though on the customer order receipt it states that there are 2 on backorder. Any fix for this?

@ryanchmura i have tested it with two combinations

    1) Alone one product with 5 in stock but ordering 7 so 2 can be backorder
    2) Two products with same inventory as 5 and ordered 7 so total 4 can be backorder

In both cases i am getting only 5 and 10 in stock order but somehow i am missing the second/expected order as backorder split. Give me a few hours, i will report you again here about my findings.

But i couldn’t reproduce the problem as you described that all goes in backorder, i might will check it with you after testing in my environment. Your patience is appreciated.

@ryanchmura it took a couple of hours but finally i got that condition which was causing the backorder split ignored. So the case was, order is having the same product in stock and backorder, so due to same product ID, script was ignoring it. As earlier, some user reported that script was creating an extra order either something to add as backorder or now. In version 2.8.3, I added another condition which will compare the same product with quantities. Kindly try this version and let me know what are the results. I am available for support further.

    Hey @fahadmahmood

Unfortunately, I am getting the same results as before. Ordering 7 of one product that has in stock: 5. expecting one order for 5 and one order for backordered 2 but they are still all going on the backordered one so it looks like there is 7 backordered…

Would it help to take a look at my admin-panel?

Yes, that would help. As we are already connected through mails, kindly ping me there so we can test it together. Maybe some other parameters are making difference, else i ensured the same came before releasing the latest version.
