We just tested WordPress 3.8.1 with DMS 1.0.3.5 (latest versions) and it works – clean install, straight out of the box.
Can you tell us exactly which options you’ve changed in wp_options? Blank pages are usually PHP errors, so it might have something to do with your hosting solution 🙂

I may have found something helpful:
I posted a support question, but I am replying here because I think it’s relevant.
I set Debug to true in the config files and this is the error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in /Users/john/Sites/wpdms/wp-content/themes/dms/includes/less.plugin.php on line 292
I am running MAMP Pro This is WP 3.8.1 clean install.
Hmmm… Ok, kinda’ got it working.
I went to the MAMP setting and restored them to the “Live” mode and a page is loading.
I still don’t think DMS is working right. Can make / edit / get to the purported “Drag ‘n drop” stuff.
I will look for documentation 🙂
No, not installed correctly according to the video.
No “Pagelines” menu in admin side bar.
Not sure if this is a related issue to the above now or not.
Docs are not helping.

The ‘white screen of death’ is happening on wordpress.org when trying to preview.
I’d say the theme is utilising too much resource – what say you PageLines?

This is a common issue on WordPress.org due to the fact that the servers on which the previewing scripts run, are often overwhelmed. It has nothing to do with the theme itself, which is lightweight.
