Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » In monthly view, links to previous or next month don´t work

  • Resolved marass1959

I got a problem with the monthly view. With the free as well as the pro version of the calendar.
You can not go back to the previous or next month with the two links at the bottom right and left. One only comes with the search function to another months.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the calendar, both via the plugins page and via ftp. Nothing helps.
The links seem to be OK, if you on mouse over.
With right mouse button, in new tap open, the link works corectly.
    Thank for helping.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Thanks for the report and sorry to hear about this glitch. We could confirm the issue and are already working on a fix (hopefully for next maintenance release). The temporary solution is to downgrade The Events Calendar to version (get it here →

We will give you a heads-up here when the fix is released 🙂

    Courtney 🙂

I have the same problem as @marass1959. I can advance and go back if I’m logged in as an Administrator after I have authenticated through http too, but when I try it using another browser, as a general visitor would, I am prompted to authenticate by entering the http username and password. The error that appears in the browser’s console is “admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Authorization Required)”.

I hope this helps you find the solution to the issue.

Hi, after downgrading to Version everything works fine.

A new maintenance release has been recently shipped addressing this issue 🙂

More information in the release notes and hotfix notes.

Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for you,

This issue with being prompted for the http password still happens after the update. It is resolved on a site in which the wp-admin directory is not secured with a password, but the issue still exists on one that is secured with a password. The error log reports the following: https://www.somesite.ext/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Authorization Required).

Hi @smithlj21 … I’m sorry to hear that but it sounds like a quite different problem from that which @marass1959 shared. Mind creating a new topic of your own for this? Thanks!

    Hi Barry,

I’m sorry. I should have updated this a couple of days ago. I found a solution to my problem by removing the password from the admin directory and placing it on the login url instead. Everything is working perfectly now.

Thank you for getting back to me! I appreciate it very much!
