In IE 8 featured images do not appear in SOME posts on Index page

Hello! I LOVE the Expound theme and set it up this week on one of my sites, http://www.foxborojaycees.org. It displays PERFECTLY in Firefox. I am using IE 8, and in IE 8, teh same page and theme does not display featured images that are in the “longer, horizontal” posts. The “smaller box” posts display correctly but the top post and the few underneath do not display the featured image — but only in IE 8. Upgrading to a higher version of IE is not possible at this time for me. Is there a patch or work around that will force the images to display correctly in IE8? Does the display work correctly in higher version of IE? has anyone else seen this problem? Any help would be VERy appreciated.
