A “&” character is not escaped properly in a slugs

    Let’s consider a scenario:
    1. Create a new gallery by a “Add gallery / Images” option (important: This bug is not present when you add the gallery by a “Manage galleries” where the “&” character is replaced to a “-” character in the slug during creating the gallery):
    Gallery name: Dagmara & Piotrek”
    2. Add this gallery to a album “Your stories”
    3. Go to the album “Your stories”.
    You will see your gallery “Sabina & Sebastian” and a gallery thumbnail. Click on this gallery (link: your-stories/nggallery/wasze-historie/Dagmara-&-Piotrek) – “No images found”
    Why? This link is broken. It should be /your-stories/nggallery/wasze-historie/Dagmara-& amp;-Piotrek either by the using urlencode function in template or special characters should be escaped during creating the gallery (like in the “Manage galleries” function)

    Sorry, above is a mistake.
    Wrong path:
    /nggallery/your-stories/Dagmara-&-Piotrek
    Correct path:
    /nggallery/your-stories/Dagmara-& amp;-Piotrek

    Hi @pacjonek,

    We are really sorry but currently NextGen wouldn’t work with several non-ASCII and special characters if those are added as a Gallery or Album’s name since it will generate a path issue.

    I would suggest avoiding using non-ASCII characters and &-“[]{} for the galleries and albums in order to ensure a correct work.

    Would not it be a good idea to prohibit the user from entering such characters?
    If I wasn’t a developer I wouldn’t know what’s going on and why
    I would like to remind you that you have to pay $99 for your plug-in.
    BTW I have fixed the problem “temporarily” (until next update which overwrite it…) in the code. In my opinion, this is not terribly difficult to fix it.
