 * I’ve got a customer here that’s using this plugin, but we cannot seem to improve
   the performance at all. As the developers of this plugin, might you have any 
   suggestions? This is on an 8 core machine, with 8GB of RAM. Looks like they currently
   have 900+ published events.

 * We’re steadily improving performance but yes some sites with combinations of 
   heavy load, lots of recurring events or both may in particular experience some
   additional performance issues.
 * In the meantime, effective caching – at query as well as page level – is one 
   of the best ways to mitigate any issues.
