 * We’ve been noticing a lot of resource usage on our server lately and trying to
   optimise plugins. I’d like to check if my Broken Link Checker settings are fine
   or can these be further improved so that it has less impact on memory usage.
   Here are my current settings:
 * Check each link: every 72 hours
    Timeout: 15 seconds Max. execution time: 300
   seconds Server load limit: 0.35 Target resource usage: 10%
 * Does the settings look okay?
 * I’m still a bit confused about “Server load limit” and “Target resource usage”.
   Someone care to explain?
 * Thanks

 * Hello there [@wrip](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wrip/)
 * The selected settings look good as they shouldn’t stress your server much, but
   this depends on the actual server itself though.
 * Server load is a metric for Linux servers as thoroughly explained here:
    [http://www.brendangregg.com/blog/2017-08-08/linux-load-averages.html](http://www.brendangregg.com/blog/2017-08-08/linux-load-averages.html)
   A value of one (“1”) should be considered the maximum.
 * If you’re experiencing increased load, then you should contact your hosting provider
   about it, in order to further research if it’s Broken Link Checker corn jobs
   doing this, as that also depends on the actual amount of pages/posts that you
   crawl every 72hrs. 🙂
 * Warm regards,
    Dimitris
