    Hi,
    Great start ! Can I propose some things ?
    1) In your widget.php you are first launching all the get_var, but if in the settings I have chosen to only show the number of forums, the 3 other queries should not be launched. I would propose to only launch the get_var under the if { } that you have below (you will gain some mili or nana seconds)

    2) You are calculating the total number of users, but if you see it in the context of the forum, you should calculate the number of forum users, no ?

    1. Sure. We might be able to save .000003ms.

    2. The number of bbPress users is different than the number of site users? Some explanation would help there.
