Currently it’s always possible to edit the translations, even if the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS flag is defined. I think it’s a good idea to follow the WordPress standards and disallow translations edits when that flag is defined.

I hope to see this in the next version 🙂

Thank you. I didn’t know about this setting, I’ll definitely implement into version 2.

I’m currently looking into some related filesystem api issues, so great timing.

Thank you for this awesome plugin! If I find myself some free time I’ll look into version 2. The latest version of 1.x will be 1.5.6 as you mentioned here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/beta-testing-version-2, any plans to implement it in that version?

No plans to make any such fixes to 1.x. It’s an unmaintainable mess.

This setting is now observed in v.2.0 along with the use of FTP/SSH connections for file system write operations. I’m marking this as resolved as the 1.x branch is now deprecated.
