# Improve send speed

 * Hi,
 * after pressing the submit button on my cf7 form, it needs approx. 10seconds to
   send the message. I tried to use a different smtp connection, so I tested it 
   with Google. With Google it works much better, message sent within 1 second successfully.
   Have you any suggestion what I can say to my main hoster, to improve the send
   process? Or are there any additionally parameter that I can try?

 * To troubleshoot this, you would need more information about what happens just
   after the submit button is pressed. Processes from WordPress, Contact Form 7,
   WP Mail SMTP, and other plugins are fired and running during that time, so you
   would need to do a bit of digging to find out why it’s running slowly. This is
   something that your host may be able to look into for you, depending on what 
   tools they have available to them on their server.
 * On the WP Mail SMTP end, it could be that there is a slowness to respond for 
   the server you’re trying to connect to and send with. For instance, if you’re
   connecting to an SMTP server, it may not be responding quickly to your requests.
   In cases like that, the best path forward is usually to switch mailers as you’ve
   done.
 * It’s also possible that there is a conflict occurring that impacts the speed 
   of response. Try sending a test email from within WP Mail SMTP. If that message
   goes through quickly, the problem is likely only affecting the frontend and should
   help narrow things down.
