Hi,
This is probably due to a caching plugin.
Eric
Thanks for the response, the only other plugin we have that is active is an SEO plugin. That one wasn’t turned on until yesterday.
I’m not that familiar with how the other plugins work, could an inactive one still cause the problem?
Inactive ones include:
Akismet
Animated Gif Resize
Contact Form 7
Feed Template Customize
Go Daddy Quick Setup
Jetpack
Revolution Slider
Search & Replace
tagDive
Thanks again!
I think (not sure) that Jetpack has caching abilities. That might be the conflict.
Hi Again,
I removed all of the inactive plugins and impressions are still not being collected for any of the sidebar ads.
Would it take several hours for this to start working or could there be another issue?
We are hosted at go daddy would there be anything in the settings I could ask them about?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi,
No it would not take any time. Impressions are counted immediately.
Make sure you Enable the “Enable ad impression count for admin(s):” checkbox here: WordPress Admin Area > Settings > Ads
Eric
I’m seeing similar.
Running 1.0.10 on WP 4.0. No SEO or caching plugins. No Jetpack.
Enable is checked.
The first ad on the page has gotten ~1600 impressions. The other two, 5 and 3 respectively. While it might be true regarding the number of click-throughs, it’s unlikely that 1595 out of 1600 page loads stopped before they got to the 2nd and 3rd ad.
I don’t really know why… Is it possible your server uses memcache?
I don’t believe so. It’s a pretty standard Apache/PHP install, and I don’t see it in the list of modules.
I’m at a loss… It’s working fine on my installation of WP 4.0.
Ok. It’s not particularly critical for this client.
Let me know if you think of anything for me to try.
