Impossible to add Italian – Polylang

    I have used Polylang on various sites in WordPress I have developed. This time, I installed the plugin, activated and during setup it defaulted to English though the site is in Italian. When I tried to add Italian as a language, I got an error stating Impossible to add Italian. What?! This has never happened before.

    Can it be that I was logged in English and my browser settings are set to English?

    Can anyone provide any incite on this issue, please?
