I see many other people had the same issue, but I couldn’t find in any of their topics a solution I’m able to use by myself.

The issue is known: when submitting the email to reset the password, the password reset link is invalid and the form asks for a new one in an infinite loop.

If I am correct there is a discrepancy in the keys saved on the server and those sent via email, but I’m not able to fix it by myself without a step-by-step guide.

Is there any chance we can see an update in the plugin with this and (hopefully) other bug fixes?

    Thanks

    Hi @piriland,

Could you provide more information about your install? Do you use some cache plugins? It’s single or multisite install. Just I need to replicate this issue at my dev site to fix it.

    Thanks!

Hi, @nsinelnikov thanks for your reply.

I have it hosted on altervista, I have no idea if this is considered a multisite install, I guess so.

    Currently active and running plugins:
    – Capability Manager Enhanced
    – Cohttps://www.gmail.com/ursePress
    – GTranslate
    – Media From FTP
    – VFB Pro
    – Visitor Maps and Who’s Online
    – WP Maintenance Mode
    and, of course,
    – Ultimate Member
    – Ultimate Member – Terms & Conditions

I have other plugins installed, but deactivated.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi @piriland, and thanks for your answer!

I can suggest a few steps:

    1) Please try to reset the password via WP native reset password form. If you have the same issues then ask your hosting provider about COOKIEs caching.

    2) If WP native reset password form works properly, could you try to make the conflict test? So just leave active only Ultimate Member plugin, deactivate all plugins and activate WP native theme (e.g. 2019) and check the password reset functionality.

    3) If UM reset password form works properly please try to activate one by one plugin and theme and check where the conflict is.

Please let me know the results,
    Thanks again and Best Regards!
