I exported my blog to a XML file and have WordPress set up on with my host. But when I import my XML file that I’ve saved to my computer from the WordPress dashboard it uploads the XML file as a TXT file, with the end of the file name as xml_.txt It also uploads one JPG file, and that’s it. If I try and upload it again, it uploads the XML file as another TXT file and another JPG file. * Can anyone help me with this please? I wonder if I kept importing it would I eventually get all the media uploaded, and then just delete the xml_.txt files? The posts all uploaded, but the blog is in a bit of a mess, and obviously none of the JPG files uploaded. I was using the Oxygen theme, so i’ve installed that again. I’m afraid I don’t see the problem. As I understand it, it should be possible to import a blog from WordPress.com to WordPress.org Anyway, eventually it imported all the images, but they were imported one at a time. As in I had to go through the import process repeatedly until all the images were imported. I also had to set up the page pretty much from scratch as the widgets and so on weren’t imported either.
