• I’ve downloaded both the import-users-from-csv plugin and the one from github that allows you to import users as members for PMPro.

I appended my cdv table and filled in the information i had, but I didn’t have information for every single table unfortunately.

Whenever I import, it won’t import them as members in my PMPro member list; it only imports as wordpress users.

I need to be able to this before I decide whether or not to use the plugin and buy the official support.

    Any help?

  • Hi jacobtcinfo,

Have you followed the instructions here: https://github.com/strangerstudios/pmpro-import-users-from-csv?

Specifically the section that states 3. Add the following columns to your import CSV. * = required for membership level.... In order to add users as a member in PMPro you have to designate the membership_id * (id of the membership level) otherwise they will just be normal WordPress users.

    Thank You,

    Hey Slocum Design Studio,

Since the CSV I have was not from wordpress, I’ve had to add the membership_id column. Unfortunately, but I don’t know what to assign my 800+ subscribers membership id as. What is the membership id? Like is it a static number for each level of membership, or is it a static number for each member?

    Where can I find it?

    Thanks,
    Jacob

@jacobtcinfo, when you create a Membership Level in PMPro, it will assign an ID to it (you can see it in the far left column on the Membership Levels list) – use that.

    Okay, Thank you for that!

What format should membership expire dates be in? I have them like this: “Mar 15, 2013” will it work off of that? And do I need to know any more of the columns it said to add? So far the only columns other than the normal ones you use to import, I have membership_ID; membership_status; and membership_enddate.

Thank you all so much for the help.

Whenever I import from CSV, it adds them as wordpress users, but not as PMPro members. What am I doing wrong?

    date format should be YYYY-MM-DD, e.g. 2013-11-21

Make sure that you have a membership level created and place the id number (usually 1 for your first level) in the membership_id field.

    @strangerstudios

I am unable to successfully import the expiration date when importing members in PMPro. It does import the member, just not the end date. I’ve tried numerous ways.

Here’s my partial fields. What can I look for? Is there a value to set the question Expire to Yes? I downloaded my members but the headers are different. Thanks for any help.
