importing price for variable product isn’t updating and showing as out of stock

Okay, to be able to successfully import variations, we need to make sure this information is correct in the CSV file –

1. The variation has the correct “parent” products ID/SKU
2. The variation has the “in stock” column set to 1
3. The variation has value in the “price” column
4. It is always better to remove the “orphaned variations” from WooCommerce > Status > Tools page to avoid conflict with already existing variations.

If these are correct and the import is still not working, can you please upload the CSV file and share the link with me?

When you are adding a new product with variation, you have to use SKU for the parent product and all variation should have this SKU on their “parent” column. Without this information, the variations will not know for which product they should be added.

Thanks for sharing the CSV file.

I can see that the file does not have any variation added. All the products are simple and variables. These will create individual products as simple and variable types.

To understand how to create a variable product with variation see this example CSV file – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/sample-data/sample_products.csv

You can also take help from this article – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-import-suite-importing-product-variations/. It uses the Product CSV Import Suite but the procedure can be followed with default WooCommrece as well.
