# Importing from WordPress.com error

 * Hi there,
 * I exported my XML file from a WordPress.com site and went to my WordPress.org
   dashboard to import it but got the error message:
 * _Sorry, there has been an error._
 * The uploaded file could not be moved to /usr/local/pem/vhosts/xxxxxx/webspace/
   httpdocs/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03.
 * I don’t understand why. Can anyone help explain?

 * temporarily chmod `/wp-content` to 777 and do the import
    when done, chmod back
   to 755
