Importing from psots

    I’ve just migrated from an event plugin, that uses standard WP Posts, to “Events Manager”.

    I’d like to import the old events, in order to keep an history of past events and to import also the upcoming events.

    These posts are all under a category “Events”.

    I know that this feature isn’t available, but I wonder if you could help, maybe with some on-time MySQL script to run.

    I will try myself to do that, digging in the MySQL DB, but if there is something already done and tested, I would appreciate.

    i’d gladly help a pro user with that sort of thing 🙂

    I will be working with posts and events over the coming weeks, and seeing how to make the two work a little more closely, but for now the only option would be an import script.

    I think a feature like that, for this plugin, must be added, but I know they have a long queue of features planned and requested and that hey don’t take in account all of them.
    So I can’t rely on that, since I just can’t wait: I’ll do with a script, as soon as I find the time to do it (most likely this week-end).

    …unless someone comes out with some plugin or an already written script.

    I gave up: is a sort of thing only for “pro users”.

    I don’t have issues on going pro, if the plugin is worth.
    But in this case there are too many issues and two of them were:
    – not being able to import existing events created as posts
    – not being WPML friendly

    I’ve found a valid alternative, WPML friendly and that uses custom post types: way easier to convert from existing posts!
    …and I’ve also bought the pro license of this new plugin
