importing from movable type in 2.0

    I’ve looked for, but can’t find, help for what looks like a bug when importing from MT 2.661 to WP 2.0. 2.0 eliminates the whole business of FTPing the MT export to a WP directory location, but when I try the automatic replacement, it says the following:

    Unable to create directory /dadada/wp-content/uploads/2006. Is /dadada/wp-content/uploads writable?

    Yep, it’s writable, but all the jiggerypokery I try just generates other permissions-based questions which I an incapable of resolving. Any ideas?

    Silly me. If you go in there and manually modify each folder created by WP to 777 then it will eventually let you import. Unless I’m missing something big, this is loads worse than the 1.5 import feature
