Hi, I have a big database (967 MB) that I am trying to import with adminer. After exporting and editing the sql file from the old site, I uploaded it to the new server via FTP in the plugins/adminer directory and renamed the file to adminer.sql. Now I am trying to import it with adminer’s “from server” option, but it is telling me the file does not exist. Is it just too big?

The message “does not exist” is not a point form the size of the file. Your are sure, that the filename and access rights are right?
It should also work with big files, if the RAM is big enough.

    Hi Frank,

Yes I double checked a couple of times and it would always end in the same result. There might have been some timeout settings on the server causing some conflicts, but again, if this were the case would the this be the error I’d be receiving?

    Hey Frank,

based on your question, you’re uploading the file to the wrong path, the right path is: /wp-content/plugins/adminer/inc/adminer/

I too am trying to do the same that Kevin mentions here. My file is called adminer.gz and I have tried uploading it in three different spots, all return “file does not exist”

    Places I’ve tried:
    /wp-content/plugins/adminer/inc/adminer/
    /wp-content/plugins/adminer
    /www.robinhallett.com/web/content

Can anyone advise? Thanks so much, total newbie here 🙂
