No matter what I do I don’t get past this point:

How do I Import a WP User with Admin Permission? How do I apply the special membership?
If you want your wp admin user to be able to view content protected with Simple membership then you can do the following
- Create a special membership level that you will apply to the admin user. You will use this membership level for admin users only.
- You can then give this membership level access to all the content that you are protecting.
- Import your wp admin user into simple membership and apply the “special membership level” to that account.
No matter what I do I don’t get past this point:

I carried out a test in my dev site using the sample csv file, without making any changes and I was able to import the 3 members in the sample file. So, I can confirm that the instructions and the files work correctly for me.
Can you share the steps you took to carry out this test? This will help me understand why it is not working for you.

Did all 4 steps a bazillion times. WordPress Admins STILL have no access to edit Membership documents. Step 2 Import WP Admin User has no effect what so ever.
