Thank you for reaching out to us. Please read the following two documentations. I am sharing both because you did not specify what type of members you are trying to import.

Import members from a CSV file.

    Option 1 = https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-bulk-import-member-data-csv-file/

Import WP Users into Simple Membership plugin.

    Option 2 = https://simple-membership-plugin.com/import-existing-wordpress-users-simple-membership-plugin/

Let me know if the information above helps you in any way.

    Kind regards.

No matter what I do I don’t get past this point:

One of the required columns not found in CSV: user_name

I am simply trying to import your csv example sheet.

How do I Import a WP User with Admin Permission? How do I apply the special membership?

If you want your wp admin user to be able to view content protected with Simple membership then you can do the following

    • Create a special membership level that you will apply to the admin user. You will use this membership level for admin users only.
    • You can then give this membership level access to all the content that you are protecting.
    • Import your wp admin user into simple membership and apply the “special membership level” to that account.

I carried out a test in my dev site using the sample csv file, without making any changes and I was able to import the 3 members in the sample file. So, I can confirm that the instructions and the files work correctly for me.

Can you share the steps you took to carry out this test? This will help me understand why it is not working for you.

Please check the following documentation. Let me know if this helps you.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards.

Let me try to understand where the confusion might be. The following documentation that was shared with you explains how to import a WordPress administrator user into the Simple Membership plugin:

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/giving-wordpress-admin-user-access-protected-content/

This guide outlines 4 steps. Have you completed all of them? Is there a specific step where you’re getting stuck?

I’m sure the documentation can be improved—just like anything else in life. But to make meaningful improvements, I need more insight into which part is unclear. Could you let me know which step you think needs more explanation or clarification?

Did all 4 steps a bazillion times. WordPress Admins STILL have no access to edit Membership documents. Step 2 Import WP Admin User has no effect what so ever.
