# Importing error “Connection Timeout”

 * hello,
    I was trying to import a media XML file to my WordPress installation (
   file size: 1.5mb), but I got timeout error message! I want to know if it is possible
   to import the XML file without downloading attachment then move the attachment
   manually using FTP or else?

 * I believe by default the export tool will not include your attachments (unless
   it got fixed recently, since this was an issue for years).
 * Do you have access to the source site? You could always use a plugin like Updraft
   Plus to create a backup of _just_ the database and import that into the new site
   using the same plugin.
