Importing and SKU codes

    Hi there!

    I have a client that previously had a website and used opencart. We are busy with a new website with woocommerce.

    My client exported all of her products and uploaded them to the new site however we have a few problems. So after she imported everything it said it was successful. However 7 of the products are not on the site.

    They make use of SKU codes, these 7 products have exactly the same SKU codes as products that’s already on the site. Could this be the problem that woocommerce already recognizes the SKU code on the database and see’s it’s been imported?

    We don’t want to update the existing products on the database with the new products that has the same SKU code but have 2 seperate products with the same SKU code.

    Please can you assist.

    Hi there,

    They make use of SKU codes, these 7 products have exactly the same SKU codes as products that’s already on the site. Could this be the problem that woocommerce already recognizes the SKU code on the database and see’s it’s been imported?

    SKU’s must be unique so this must be why these products weren’t imported.

    I’d recommend updating the SKU’s before importing to WooCommerce to make sure they are not existing SKU’s.
