# Imported wordpress not complete

 * I was using my computer as a server to build a WordPress site. I wanted to move
   my WordPress site to a new server. I exported my local server WordPress and imported
   into the new server. However, not all of my customization imported. One being
   my online store. Any thought on how I can make all my customizations import over?

 * t-p,
 * I read through that before I did my export and import but I didn’t feel comfortable
   doing it. I was looking at the one that says if you don’t care if the old blog
   works. I was unclear about how to find some of the config file stuff.
 *  Step 1 – I think I know my DB name and DB user. Not total sure about the DB 
   password and host name. Why do you change the config file on the OLD files stuff
   or do I make the copy and then change the config on the old one that is still
   working?
 * Step 2 – I know the URL to point it to the new site.
 * I hate to sound pathetic – but I would really like someone walk me through it–
   is this possible – I know it possible but is it safe?

 * I tried the instructions above given by t-p and when I import the database into
   my new server I get the error below. I have checked the password. Can someone
   please do a screen sharing session and help me?
 * MySQL said: Documentation
    #1044 – Access denied for user ‘scottsvw’@’localhost’
   to database ‘wordpress’
 * And of course just like the instruction said my OLD wordpress site won’t work.

 * I guess frustration helps – my problem wasn’t in the importing part – I was exporting
   wrong. But after many days and hours – I finally transferred my database to my
   new server!!! Now to get my URL pointing to the right server – but I have done
   that before!!!
