 * I attempted to import a subscriber list from my previous newsletter subscription
list. I got an email stating that the import that was taking place in the background
was successful, however, when I go to my subscribers list, none of the imported
subscribers are there. There’s only about 80 subscribers in the list. Also, since
I did the import, everything I try to do on the newsletter plugin is going extremely
slow again – trying to view the newsletter I created, it just spins and spins
and spins, and then throws another 503 error like yesterday.
 * UPDATE: I did finally get my subscribers to show up in my subscriber list, but
everything is still going EXTREMELY slow, and I’m getting the 503 error again.
The host insists that it’s not resource related, and that “You are required to
use smtp authentication and as far as I can see from a quick scan of your plugins
directory you are not”. However, I’ve checked the box for SMTP authentication
in my configuration, and I don’t know what that would have to do with slowness
in simply editing templates and composing the newsletters. I’m becoming terribly
   frustrated.

 * Thanks for the message and for the follow-up, I’m glad to hear that you managed
   to import the subscribers.
 * If you have to use SMTP authentication make sure you use SMTP as the “Mail Type”
under Newsletters > Configuration > General > General Mail Settings and fill
in the email/password of a mailbox on the hosting account there.
 * Regarding the slowness, 503 means service unavailable. It is usually a resource
limit, connection limit, bandwidth limit etc. So it is definitely hosting related.

or Google for more results and solutions.
 * If you are reaching some sort of limit on the hosting, the hosting provider should
   tell you what it is?

 * Things seem to be running a bit more smoothly this morning – I was able to send
out my initial newsletter to 82 subscribers. We’ll see how things go from here.

 * Great so you can see the metrics in cPanel, please keep an eye on that.
