[resolved] Imported products don't have variation (7 posts)

First, I manualy created two products with variations. Then I export it and when making new products in .csv I just copy variations (under wpsc-variation) to new products.
But inserted products don't have variations.
In UTF-8 value of column wpsc-variation is "velkost:Velkost,velkost~10x13:10x13,velkost~15x19:15x19"

When I export all products, including the new products with variations in imported csv, in exported csv THEY HAVE VARIATIONS.

More interesting is, when I go to web and I open this product - there ARE variations to select, but when I select one I will get "Combination of product variants is not available".

    Thanks for help.

Hi, is there possible to add price, sku and stock for variations in csv? When I export products, these informations are missing. I think this is the problem.

    Hi xKatka

I can't test it myself right now, but make sure you've ticked the box on settings to export hidden custom fields. Then, perhaps create one product normally, and then export to see how it needs to be formatted. It's a bit complicated, but I believe it should be possible.

    Best wishes

So... I find out that variations are separate lines in databaze.

post_title : [name of product] ([name of variation])
post_name : [post name of product]-[post name of variation]
    post_status : "inherit"
    post_parent : [product ID]
    post_type : "wpsc-product"

Your export didn't add these variations line in to csv.

    Hi xKatka

It's probably the 'inherit' status that is blocking it then. If I allow export of all inherit status posts, then it would be quite confusing to most users, and the export would contain a lot of junk.

I will try to add some targeted support for wpsc-product/inherit combinations, but I suspect even with that it will be too complicated for most users to get everything lined up perfectly.

Might be best to try a commercial WC CSV plugin.

    Best wishes

    Hi,
thanks for your answer. Yes, you are right, it will be confusing and also too hard to code (I want import 400 products with 8 variations) :)

I will try to make plugin for this. Same as this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-bulk-attribute-manager/ but for wp e-commerce.
    Wish me luck :D
