Imported Posts have broken formatting

I’ve been working on a site for a client and after all of the posts from their old website were imported to the new one the posts’ formatting got all messed up. When looking at the post in WordPress the post seems to have line breaks in all the right places, however when you view a post on the page instead of having line breaks it just has double spaces.
