Support » Fixing WordPress » Imported Pages, One Displays a 404 Error

  • I imported all of my pages and posts today from a local version of my website I was working on. No issues locally.

After importing the site to live, one of my pages is throwing a 404 error when I try to load it. All of the rest of the pages appear to be working correctly.

I tried to recreate the page with -2 after it, delete the old page, then delete the -2 off the new page, but that still resulted in an error.

Any ideas as to why this particular page is acting this way?

  • Copy the old page, delete it, trash it.

Then make a new one without the -2 and paste in the info.

Thanks for the help, Aaron. Unfortunately it didn’t work, though.

I copied the content from the old page, deleted and trashed the old page, then made a new one with the same name. I am still receiving the 404 error for this page. I cleared my cache and still no dice.
