[Resolved] Important question about anti-right clicks

  • Hi guys,

I have a question. I have been using wordpress for about a year. I would like to know if anyone has a MOD, that would disable any right-clicks, and block any graphic captures to my site?? Thanks…

  • Also, if I can simply use a copy and paste javascript, that would be cool too. Thanks..

This is a question that comes up often in various discussions. The short answer is there is nothing you can do to fully block image theft with a right click block. All images will appear in the browsers cache, and therefore can be retrieved. True – a .js script can stop people who are not that computer literate and don’t think of the cacge issue, but it’s likely anyone of a mind to steal images knows how to circumvent same.

If the theft of your images is of that much concern it is better to use a watermark on them to make them useless for other purposes.

You could also edit your .htaccess file to “prevent” downloading of your images, but … they are still in the browser cache.

Thank you so much my friend. You are totally right. I forgot about the browser cache.
