 * Is there a way to export one category of posts, so that you can import them into
   a new install of WP?

   or something will be faster…

 * if u have a decent web backend like cpanelx or directadmin… look for a mysql 
   backup tool.
    my suggesting call ur host and ask him what to do! tell him u want
   a database replicated and get the details to put in config file! or call a friend
   who knows what we are talking about… 🙂

 * I’d take a look at [the WP Backup Hack](http://dinki.mine.nu/word/index.php?p=88&more=1&c=1).
   I imagine if you installed it on both blogs you could download the backup file
   from one and then restore it to the other…
