# Import SQL Error [wp_commentsmeta]

 * Hello,
 * I’m trying to import my database from a dev server to my local install, and seem
   to be having issues.
 * I backed up my database according to the instructions on the WordPress Codex
   
   [http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database](http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database)
 * and went to import it, and got this SQL error:

 * Error
    SQL query:
 * —
    — Database: `db76003_bobbywilson_dev` — — ——————————————————– — — Table structure
   for table `wp_commentmeta` — DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `wp_commentmeta` ;
 * MySQL said:
 * #1046 – No database selected
 * I’ve tried Googling this, with no avail.
 * Any suggestions?

 * figured it out…
 * i hadn’t been creating a new database – or selecting a previous one, i had just
   been choosing to ‘import’ the database file [which makes sense of the error i
   was receiving].
