    hi!
I’d like to import my recipes from another plugin I was using (WP Ultimate Recipe). I have the XML file but I can’t find any entry for import in your plugin. how do you recommend to act? Thanks

    Hello @laviva888

Current there are no importers available for the Recipepress plugin. It is something I’ve planned on adding but I have not implemented as yet because it has not been requested before.

I’ll look into adding this feature this week.

Wow! it would be amazing! So I can convert all my recipe sites with your plugin! Each site has around 200 recipes.
If I can: it would be nice to be able to import the recipes, the custom taxonomies and the featured image. I look forward to your implementation! INFINITE THANKS

    Hello @laviva888
Are you available to test this new feature?

    yes of course.
    With much pleasure and honor!

I see the original RecipePress could Import RecipeML and MealMaster formatted recipes. I have a very large MealMaster collection. Can this capability be re-added to the re-Loaded RecipePress too?

    Hey @laviva888
Sorry about missing your reply and the delayed response.

You can get an updated version of the plugin here https://gitlab.com/w33zy/recipepress-reloaded

Install and activate it then go to plugin’s extensions page. You will see a new “Recipe Importers” extension. Activate it and you’ll see an option to importer WPUR recipes if the are WPUR recipes on your website and the WPUR plugin is activated.

They will be processed in a background queue, when finished your WPUR recipes should show up under the RPR recipe list.

(Please note that this is a beta feature, please create a backup)

    Hello @glenstewart

Let me take some time to look at RecipeML and MealMaster. Also, is MealMaster a proprietary solution?

You can get a great write-up about the MealMaster format (from a programming/reading perspective) here. http://www.wedesoft.de/software/2020/07/07/mealmaster/

This was a very popular format in the golden days of recipe collecting.

You can get a sample MMF file from here: https://freegroups.net/x.mmf

Here I am! Thank’s for your job! Everything works on a basic level but doesn’t work with custom tags. Ingredients, for example, are imported but have no associated recipes in the backend post count. They don’t even work in the frontend because WPUR allows you to edit all the custom recipe tags both in the name and in the slug. So my ingredients, as well as my custom tags have a custom slug and it is not shown. It works by categories, course, cuisine, recipe images, ingredients list (but link 404 not found and no backend count), instructions and even nutritional values. Do you think it is possible to make everything else work? In the meantime, I’m going to restore the site from the backup;) thank you very much
