    Hello,

Please reply with the steps you are taking and provide any error messages you see. Describe what is happening instead of what is expected. Thank you.

The error is the same type of error others have received – Import data could not be read. Please try a different file.

Thank you for the error message. That error occurs when the contents of the file cannot be decoded.

    1. Try importing with all other plugins deactivated in case there is a plugin interfering with the import process.

    2. Otherwise, test by adding a few widgets then exporting them and trying to import them. If that works then there is likely an issue with the file you were provided by your theme provider.

Please let me know what result(s) you get.

Ok tried both 1 and 2. When I exported and then imported all worked fine.

I guess with the file is corrupt.

Thanks for trying that. If it worked when doing #1 alone, then it’s a plugin. If you tried #2 after that then it does seem like a corrupt file. In that case, see if your theme provider can generate a new .wie file and test it (also possible that a plugin or widget in their sample content is causing the issue).
