Hi @annieprouse,
Thank you for reporting it and especially for the screenshot. But that looks so strange, I just tried to replicate it, but it didn’t happen. I tried with WordPress 5.9.3, Media Sync 1.2.8, with a custom “Scan directory” (year/month), the same filter, and everything like in your screenshot.
So I can’t think of any reason why that might happen.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help at the moment.

Maybe it is because my memory and upload sizes in php.ini, and .htaccess were not matching up correctly. I will try again later when I finally get my product import finished.
But is this counter being updated while you select files? And also, are files being imported properly so it’s just that visual issue or it doesn’t even import?
Also, if for example 3 files are selected, but 2 are already in Media Library, this counter will show 1. So if all files are already in Media Library this counter will be 0.
It would be nicer if the files already synced to media, did not show up at all, or were noted as synced. It is very confusing to this user.
There is a filter to hide files that are already in Media Library. But even without a filter, those files are grayed out. And if imported successfully, they are highlighted (yellow background).
I mean, that’s how it should work, but maybe there is a conflict with some other plugin, browser extension, or some other special case that causes this issue.
But I wasn’t able to replicate it so far.
