 * I have an excel table i’ve managed to massage into XML format ready for importing
   into WordPress via the RSS import tool.
 * The titles, contents and other main fields pertaining to the post import fine,
   but I am having trouble mapping extra metadata from the XML file to its relevant
   table in WordPress.
 * I’ve tried to tweak the import script (rss.php) with little success given my 
   very limited coding skills.
 * Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
