Import looses languages bindings

    Hello,

    From an existing platform, I have exported (using Tools>Export) the Properties (type of post in wpCasa theme).

    From an installation from scratch after having installed all plugins (and setup Polylang like the existing platform), I have imported the file (using Tools>Import>Wordpress), all properties are well imported for each language BUT the properties are not bound anymore by language (from the list of post you can see “+” sign instead of pencil icon).

    How to solve it ? I have 600 properties (=1800 posts for 3 languages).

    Hi!

    Did you export all the content?
    Make sure that all your plugins are activated before importing
    Did you get any errors?
    Does the process end correctly? You should get the message at the end:

    All done. Have fun!
    Remember to update the passwords and roles of imported users.

    Hi Choubi,
    No I did only import the “properties” posts type.
    All plugins were activated.
    I did not get any errors during the import process. However I don’t remember to get the message you mentioned (probably because I did not import users).
    Does it work for regular posts ?

    I confirm that it does not work as well for pages. I’ve just tested it on 20 pages.
    I got the following message:

    Page “Alexandra in the media” already exists.
    Page “Alexandra in the media” already exists.
    All done. Have fun!

    Remember to update the passwords and roles of imported users.

    Hi!

    I always tested by exporting all the content at once. I did not check recently but I believe that otherwise taxonomies are not correctly exported (which could be related to your problem as languages and translations are taxonomies in Polylang)

    The error message is displayed by WordPress Importer. It does not import a post if a post with the same title and date already exists.
