Importing data from All In One SEO Pack to Yoast SEO does not work correctly. Meta description import does not occur. Plugins I have up to date: All in One SEO version 4.1.2.1, Yoast SEO version 16.6.1, WordPress 5.7.2, Twenty Twelve template version 3.3
I have also tried using the SEO Data Transporter plugin, but without success. I’m not the only one having this problem https://wordpress.org/support/topic/all-in-one-seo-to-yoast-migration-no-meta-descriptions/.
Please advise how I can import the data. Thank you in advance.

We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

If you have confirmed both WordPress, Yoast SEO, and all of your site’s other plugins and themes are up to date and the problem is still occurring, we would next recommend performing a conflict check. A plugin or theme conflict can sometimes cause functionality problems, errors, or unexpected behavior from the plugin. If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we have a step by step guide on how to check for conflicts available here: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Can you please confirm you have performed a complete conflict check by disabling other plugins, and resetting the theme to a default such as TwentyTwentyOne and let us know the results?

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

@hamil1 Thanks for your reply and please let us know the results once you’ve had a chance to complete the conflict check.

I tried it on a test site. I only had partial success with the import. Import of meta descriptions will succeed if they were created in an earlier version than AIOSEO 4.0.0. Meta descriptions created in AIOSEO 4.0.0 and higher will not be imported.
I came to the same result both with the plugins I normally use and the Twenty Twelve template and when deactivating all plugins except Yost SEO and using the Twenty Twenty-One template.

I’m sorry, but I’m not a developer. I don’t know how to write the problem in the bug report template on GitHub.

Thank you for the information. But it’s so complicated that I won’t go into it further. You know about the error. You can fix it or not. There’s nothing more I can do.
