    Hello,
I am trying to migrate a php website into a wordpress website.
The old php website has posts and images linked to each other witch i want to transfer to the new wordpress website. Any idea how can i achieve this without manually adding each post with the corresponding image?
    Thanks in advance.

If the old site is from a CMS type system, there could be an existing exporter that saves post data in a standard format that can be imported into WP. Check this page for many common tools. Others are available by searching.

If you cannot find an existing tool, a custom exporter may need to be developed. The WP importer uses the WXR file format. See this SE topic for more information on the file specification.

All that makes a featured image so is a post meta value saved under a “_thumbnail_id” key. The ID is that of the image’s attachment post object.

    Hey,
    Thank you for your help.
