# Import database table into wordpress posts table

 * Hi. I have a datebase with some articles. There are quite a few(1000) and it 
   will take a very long time to add them manually. I want to know a way to import
   the database table into the wordpress posts table.I tried different exports and
   imports but no luck. Can anyone help me?

 * Personally, I would write a little plugin to parse your file and then use [wp_insert_post()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_insert_post)
   to push it into your database.
