Support » Plugin: Import users from CSV with meta » Import custom data to an array

  • Hi,

    I use WP Custom Area, a plugin that adds custom fields to users profile like “City”, “Zip code”…
    It seems those data are stored under a single meta key in WP database and each is part of an array.
    Is “Import users from CSV with meta” able to import such data?
    If yes, how to prepare them in the spreadsheet (CSV)?

    Thanks for your informations!

    Good morning,

    Yes, look at how the arrays are managed in the CSV in the “Documentation” tab.

    You will get there the information.

    If you need personal assist, tell me and we give you proffessional support.

    Hello Javier,

    Thanks for your answer.
    Sure i would need support, documentation won’t be enough for me to manage this, i’m a graphic / web designer, not a developper.

    The question is: how to prepare my Excel spreadsheet to import WP Customer Area plugin users custom fields using Import users from CSV with meta?

    The WPCA users custom fields seem to be stored in an option table in the DB, like this:
    —————————————————-
    option_id
    3218

    option_name
    cuar_owner_addresses|usr|2

    option_value
    a:1:{s:12:”home_address”;a:10:{s:4:”name”;s:0:””;s:7:”company”;s:8:”testcuar”;s:10:”vat_number”;s:0:””;s:8:”logo_url”;s:0:””;s:5:”line1″;s:27:”25 boulevard de la Liberté”;s:5:”line2″;s:0:””;s:3:”zip”;s:5:”35000″;s:4:”city”;s:6:”Rennes”;s:7:”country”;s:2:”FR”;s:5:”state”;s:0:””;}}
    —————————————————-

    I’d like to import fields like « line1, line2, zip, city, country… »

    How would charge for this support please?

    @studioavanti,

    This seems to be not so easy as a simple array. Maybe we would need to do a little addon.

    Write me directly to contacto@codection.com and we see how it would be done.
