# Import CSV not working

 * I’m new to WooCommerce but I have started a store and I am unable to import products
   via CSV. I am running WP 5.0.3 and the WooCommerce 3.5.4
 * I found this thread which is the same problem but states that is has been fixed.

 * Any help would be greatly appreciated I have a lot of products I want to add 
   to my store and it would be nice if I could do this via CSV

 * Are you getting this error while importing the CSV: `Sorry, this file type is
   not permitted for security reasons.`
 * If you are using WordPress 5.0.3 and the WooCommerce 3.5.4, this problem is fixed
   now.
 * If you are still getting this error, it’s possible that there might be a theme/
   plugin conflict. Try switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme – [https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/](https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/),
   and see if the issue remains. If so, try disabling all of your plugins except
   WooCommerce. Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves
   your issue, enable each plugin one by one while continuing to test until you 
   find the plugin that causes the issue.

 * Thanks for your response. I have just tried the steps mentioned above. I deactivated
   all plugins apart from WooCommerce and I reverted to the twentyseventeen theme.
   I still have the security error message.

 * This was a known issue with the previous version of WordPress – [https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/22208](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/22208).
   You can make use of workarounds like installing the `Disable Real MIME check`
   plugin – [https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/)
   and check if the issues still exist for you?

 * Using the plugin Disable Real MIME Check does allow me to upload a CSV file.

 * The Disable Real MIME Check plugin doesn’t help me. It used to work but today
   i export all products & even without opening the exported file to view it I can’t
   import it back in again.

 * This issue has been resolved in the most recent version of WooCommerce core. 
   Can you confirm that your site is fully updated and that cache isn’t a factor
   in this matter?
