Import CSV Didn’t work

It’s a new install on a localhost using xampp

I installed the plugin and ran CSV Importer in the Tools directory.

Import as draft unchecked

Parent category uncategorized

Upload file I chose the file to import. File size is 89.5 MB

After I click on IMPORT . the screen on the right of the dashboard menu goes grey. there is a spinning icon on the tab for about 1 minute, then nothing happens.

Hi @phasar40,

That’s a pretty big file, so it’s likely that you’re hitting a server timeout. You can ask your host to confirm that and log it for you – see https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/terminated-imports-exports/#check-server-error-log. They should be able to adjust the setting that’s causing the timeout for you.

I changed max_execution_time to 240 and it still stalls out after less than a minute

It sounds like it might be a memory limit then. Since it’s on localhost, please follow the instructions here: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/terminated-imports-exports/#host-wont-help.

I installed Debug Bar and Debug Bar Console. This is the error I got

Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 943718400 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2048 bytes) in C:\xampp\htdocs\recipes\wp-content\plugins\csv-importer\file_csv_Datasource\Datasource.php on line 453

Hi @phasar40,

In that case, you’d need to raise the memory limit on your server to avoid the error.

I increased memory_limit= to 5000M and I’m still getting the same error
