I have implemented Google Consent Mode using GTM. In GA4 I still have information: No consent signals detected for ad personalization. Do I have to wait or I have to do sth else more?

    Hi @snecz,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

Please make sure that you have implemented Google consent mode using method 2 in this documentation. After doing this, please Log In to the CookieYes Web App and republish the script to sync the Configuration.

@cookieyesteam do you mean “Renew now” in Advanced Settings?

How long does it take GA4 to get the data?

    Hi @snecz,

You don’t have to place the NoScript code of GTM inside the HEAD tags. Please replace it back to BODY as suggested by GTM.

The GTM script mentioned in that documentation was the other one that you have placed in HEAD. If you face any trouble in moving that script above the CookieYes script instead, you can enable the “Allow Google tags to fire before consent” option from Advanced Settings > Google consent mode (GCM).

Hi @cookieyesteam , thanks. I’ve changed this and moved GTM after body tag. But still nothing. Do I have to wait some time for GA4 to identify this?

    Hi @snecz,

Please enable the “Allow Google tags to fire before consent” option from Advanced Settings > Google consent mode (GCM). Did you miss this point from our last response?

Hi @cookieyesteam , thanks. I have enabled this option now, cleared the cache and clicked “Renew now” in Advanced Settings.

Still I have “required actions” in GA4 after an hour and few new cookies.

    Hi @snecz,

To verify the integration of Google Consent Mode with CookieYes on your website from your end, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to your Google Tag Manager (GTM) account.
    2. Click on the “Preview” button located at the top right corner of your GTM account. This will activate the Preview and Debug mode.
    3. Visit your website in a new browser tab.
    4. You should see the GTM Debug Console at the bottom of your website. This console will provide information about the tags that are firing on your site.
    5. Interact with your website, and observe the tags firing based on the user’s consent status.
