# Immediately block IPs doesn’t work

 * Hi, I have two sites, and each of them have installed WF, and the option “Immediately
   block IPs…” does not work on each site. I have about 60 links in my blacklist
   for blocking, none of them is not blocked by the WF. However, the “Immediately
   block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames” is working. I can
   not find a solution to this problem on the forum, can you help me with this?
 * brute force is on
    Lock out after how many login failures – 2 Count failures 
   over what time period – 5 Amount of time a user is locked out – 2 hours …

 * maybe it will be useful for someone
 * I do not know why so, but the following thing helped me.
    after activating additional
   functions, the blocking start work normally:
 * – Rate Limiting — ON
    – Brute Force Protection — ON
 * before it only Rate Limiting was OFF in my site, and the blocking from tab “Immediately
   block IPs…” did not work
