# IMMEDIATE HELP REQUIRED!

 * OK, I updated from 2.x to 2.6. I made a back up of the database but some how 
   the back up has become corrupted. During the update process the category names
   have been wiped.
 * As the original back up has been corrupted I cannot restore this.
 * I still have the categories listed – the names are blank. I still have the wp_term_relationships
   table.
 * Now surely each post is linked to a category in this table.
 * For example
    434 has the following tax ids – 3, 14 437 has 3, 7 and 8
 * I know that these two posts share the category General. Does this mean that in
   the terms database I should have the following.
 * term_id = 3, name = General, Slug = General
 * I have tried this but it does not work. The General category is applied to other
   posts.
 * Is there something wrong with my process? If so can someone point it out.
 * Failing this any ideas to fix this?

 * I do not quite understand the order in which categories are displayed or how 
   they work. However I was able to fix this comparing post numbers to the category
   names. Those with similar post counts were read and assigned manually.
